Nutty Apple Pie
What you'll need:
  • 3 cups Water
  • 3 cups dried Apple
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped Nuts
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 9 inch Two-crust Pie Shell
  • 1 tbsp Butter

How to make it:

Nutty Apple Pie Recipe

  • 1. Dehydrate apples in your Excalibur dehydrator at 135 degrees F for 7-15 hours
  • 2. Combine water, apples, and vanilla in a pot
  • 3. Simmer until fruit is tender
  • 4. Remove from heat and add dry ingredients, mix well
  • 5. Pour into pie shell and dot with butter
  • 6. Moisten edge of lower crust
  • 7. Place top crust over apples
  • 8. Flute edge and seal
  • 9. Bake at 400 degrees F or 204 degrees C for 35 minutes
  • 10. Let cool before serving
