How are Excalibur Home Dehydrators a Green Product?

Our dehydrators' case, door, trays, and knobs are made from one time medical grade recycled plastics used to make items like non breakable eyeglasses.  
 
When plastic parts are molded, excessive leftover materials are produced.  In the example of eyeglasses, they use one big sheet of medical grade polycarbonate to cut out the lens leaving as waste a big sheet with holes cut out. We buy this type of non used leftover plastic that would have gone into our landfills and recycle it to make our plastic parts. 
 
We only purchase the highest grade polycarbonate so you can be assured you are getting the highest quality while still helping the environment.

As stated above Excalibur products are designed to be environmentally conscious.  We have designed our dehydrators to run on lower wattage thus saving electricity. More Watts is not always better.  If the product is designed properly and implores the correct technology, lower wattage can be used which reduces your environmental impact and uses less electricity.
