What you'll need:
  • 10 Tomatoes, Plum / Roma

How to make it:

You'll love making your own dried tomatoes. Plus, you save a lot of money compared to store bought. Be sure to dry tomatoes enough, they'll be firmer than store bought. If you leave them soft, they will spoil quickly.

  • 1. Cut Tomatoes lengthwise. Into 8 to 12 wedges each.
  • 2. Place skin side down on drying trays. Load trays into Excalibur.
  • 3. Dry at 130F for 20 to 24 hours.
  • 4. Tomatoes are dry when the tomato wedge feels dry and is slightly pliable. No sign of moisture should be inside the tomoto when broken open.
