How to make it:
You'll love making your own dried tomatoes. Plus, you save a lot of money compared to store bought. Be sure to dry tomatoes enough, they'll be firmer than store bought. If you leave them soft, they will spoil quickly.
- 1. Cut Tomatoes lengthwise. Into 8 to 12 wedges each.
- 2. Place skin side down on drying trays. Load trays into Excalibur.
- 3. Dry at 130F for 20 to 24 hours.
- 4. Tomatoes are dry when the tomato wedge feels dry and is slightly pliable. No sign of moisture should be inside the tomoto when broken open.
